History

In April 2004, the Facchina Group of Companies and A.S. (Mack) McGaughan formed a company – Facchina Construction of Florida, LLC – a professional General Contracting firm dedicated to providing the full range of project delivery services to the Washington, DC and South Florida regions.

The company purchased the assets of the Southeastern Division of AMEC Construction Management, Inc. to create an entity that brings a professional history and a wealth of resources to serve clients old and new.

Paul Facchina, Sr. serves as Chairman of Facchina Construction of Florida, LLC. Mr. Facchina has spent four decades in the construction industry. He is the owner and CEO of The Facchina Group of Companies, LLC, which he founded in 1997. It operates Facchina Construction and directs residential and commercial projects as well as other investments.

The Facchina Group of Companies has grown to more than 600 employees working in heavy/highway, concrete frames, and development projects ranging from $500,000 to more than $100 million. Mr. Facchina is president of the Maryland Highway Contractors Association, former president of the Associated Builders and Contractors Metropolitan Washington Chapter, and was named the industry’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the Washington-Baltimore area for 1991.

Mack McGaughan serves as President of Facchina Construction of Florida, LLC. Mr. McGaughan has served in a management capacity in the construction industry within the Washington metropolitan area and in the Southern Florida area for well over 35 years. The position that he has established in the construction community, his client commitment, and the depth of his knowledge and experience enables him to serve as an effective catalyst in bringing together and motivating the diverse resources and talents that must be marshaled to accomplish the client’s objectives.

Mr. McGaughan served as an Executive Vice President of AMEC responsible for its operations in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC and Florida. Prior to joining AMEC in 1995, Mr. McGaughan founded and served as CEO of The A.S. McGaughan Co. from 1985 until he took over as CEO of the McGaughan Company’s parent organization in 1993. Prior to 1985, Mr. McGaughan was Executive Vice President of Clark Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of Clark Construction, Bethesda, Maryland.
